The intersection right outside the hotel was particularly busy, which made crossing the street a little tricky due to the lack of a crosswalk. I had a challenging time checking in at the Hampton Inn in Brownwood. Arriving after 3 PM, I was told my room wasn't ready yet. After nearly two hours of waiting, I got a call that my room was finally available, but by then I was on my way to a baseball game and couldn’t check in until much later. I also booked a room with a microwave. unfortunately, it wasn’t in my room. The pool was closed during my visit, which I wish I had known beforehand. The checkout process at 8 AM was smooth, but I felt rushed in general, like the staff was pushing to finish quickly. On a positive note, the room itself was clean and well-lit, and the breakfast offered a solid selection of items, including good coffee. Overall, my stay could have been much better without the inconveniences at check-in and the closure of the pool.
